If your team already talks to an AI assistant during the day, it can talk to your desk. The bridge is an open standard called the Model Context Protocol, MCP for short. An MCP server describes a set of tools to an assistant; the assistant calls them when a conversation needs them. By December 2025 there were more than 10,000 active public MCP servers, and the standard had been adopted by ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and Visual Studio Code, so the assistant your team uses almost certainly speaks it already.
rinkats runs one. Point your assistant at it and it can read your requirements, search your candidates, look at a pipeline, add a comment, and move a card, all recorded under your name.
What it can do
Everything you can, inside your role. The server signs in as you, so a recruiter's agent sees a recruiter's records and an interviewer's agent sees an interviewer's. Reads come straight back. Writes are recorded as yours.
Some of the things people ask:
- Which candidates on the Payments role have not moved in ten days? Draft a follow-up note for each.
- Show me everyone screened for Meridian Pay with Kafka experience and more than five years.
- Create a requirement for Kestrel Capital: senior product designer, Bengaluru hybrid, two openings, target end of month.
- Which placements have a fee due this week, and which invoices are still unpaid?
What it cannot do
It cannot write to a candidate on its own initiative; the only mail it can trigger is a meeting invite, and only when the call asks for one, under your name. It cannot drop someone from a pipeline without the reason a person would have to give. It cannot see another organisation. Those are limits in the product, not in the prompt.
Connecting
Create an API key under Account → API keys, then add one block to your assistant's MCP configuration:
{
"mcpServers": {
"rinkats": {
"url": "https://www.rinkats.com/api/mcp/recruiter",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer rk_p_…" }
}
}
}
The assistant discovers the tools on its own. The full list, with every input, is in the developer docs.
